LYNC Learning Academy’s mission is powered by LYNC Institute. Youth, families, schools and communities are supported in driving successful transitions back to school districts by integrating structured learning through academic focus and community experiences.
What does LYNC Learning Academy do?
LYNC Learning Academy is powered by LYNC Institute which provides evidence-informed learning, practical resources, live coaching, and ongoing community connection to help families and schools.
Who ⇒ LYNC is a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Private School with state-licensed social workers & educators who “LINK” youth, families and schools. With a focus of 6-8 students at a time, the LYNC team is able to drive successful transitions back to students’ home districts.
What ⇒ The LYNC Model of CareTM, supported by LYNC’s values of Safety, Engagement and Unconditional Positive Regard, empowers students with sustainable life skills and academic prowess. It is a student-led journey, following the students pace and priorities. When students help guide their own path, they feel empowered and that leads to better results, stronger trust, and lasting progress.

The LYNC Learning Academy schedule
Daily Student Schedule
8:30-9:00 ⇒ Welcoming & assessing each student as they arrive, breakfast, structured learning time.
9:00-10:00/10:30 ⇒ LYNC Check-in: attendance, academics, SEL lesson/activity, discussion around The LYNC Model of Care TM.
10:30-12:00 ⇒ Structured learning time, 1:1 clinical time with LYNC team member(s) as needed.
12:00-1:00 ⇒ Lunch, movement, grounding and/or centering.
1:00-2:00/2:30 ⇒ Structured learning time, 1:1 clinical time with LYNC team member(s) as needed and/or community engagement/outing
2:30–3:00 ⇒ Recap of student’s day (progress, learning, growth & struggles), prepare for departure

What is the LYNC Check-in?
LYNC Check-in ⇒ We follow the LYNC Institute LYNC Model of Care by utilizing. LYNC Check-in is a daily process that encapsulates the entire LYNC Model of CareTM in a group session. It is a review of where each student is at on The Model continuum (Safety, Trust, Choice, Collaboration, Empowerment). LYNC Check-in provides an opportunity for inclusion and togetherness as each student takes part in the processing of the other students’ individual circumstances. Processing through others’ circumstances supports the expectation of higher level of engagement from students and creates opportunities for practicing empathy and other prosocial behaviors.
